Community Health Center

Although Howard does not have a hospital, there is a 78 bed skilled nursing home and an assisted living center in the community. The Howard Community Health Center furnishes space for podiatry and physical therapy services. Howard Community Health Center providers service the nursing home and also maintain a close relationship with the volunteer ambulance service.

Community Highlights

Howard offers great hunting and has various recreational activities for all age groups such as swimming, water aerobics, parades, golfing, historical center, churches, schools, parks and camping.  Howard is home to the Rural Learning Center which provides support and guidance for anyone wanting to explore new business ventures in the area and surrounding towns in Miner County.  The purpose of this organization is to continue to provide good jobs and homes for all who want to come back home or make their home in Miner County.
