Biography:

I was born and raised in a small town in Northeastern Kentucky. I attended Asbury College, then the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. During that time I married Jack Adkins and we started a family. After I graduated from Dental School, we moved to Bethel, AK where I worked as a Dentist at an Indian Health Service clinic, and for the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation. There I served the Yupik people, the Native people of Southwestern Alaska. It was there that I acquired incredibly diverse and invaluable dental skills through many, many interesting experiences. We moved to De Smet, SD the first of January, 2008, and are now fully enjoying being here. My husband, Jack, cares for our children on a daily basis and also does computer repair from our home. We have four boys: Nathan, Zachary,  Micah, and Gabriel. In my spare time I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, card making, sewing, quilting, playing piano, bass guitar and French horn, and church activities.
